Who are We?

We are a group of researchers from The Ohio State University, passionate about discovering best practices related to online and blended learning in elementary and middle school. Our project focuses on Collaborative Social Reasoning (CSR) practices in civic education delivered through online and in-person instruction. 

We wish to equip elementary students with social and cognitive skills to analyze complex social issues with a critical eye, either in online settings or in their real lives. Apart from helping students learn social studies in a new way, our mission is to develop and share hands-on resources with educators to promote effective instructional practices as well as understand their underlying mechanisms.
