Digital Civic Learning (DCL) is a classroom-based research project. The DCL team designs integrated social studies curricula, helping students develop better social and civic competence. We also aim to improve students' academic achievement, making them better communicators and learners.

The DCL Project seeks to equip students with the skills to be responsible digital citizens.

We use immersive graphics and digital artifacts to help students to engage with civic issues. 

We aim to help children develop diverse perspectives and think about open-minded solutions to complex topics.

Learning through not only information but also active discussions and engaged decision-making.

Our curricula focus on civic issues such as diversity, immigration, Native American history, and food security.

Students apply their gained knowledge to real-world problems and civic issues.
